Terms of Service


24 Hour Satisfaction

We want to make sure you are completely satisfied with your cleaning service. If for any reason you are unhappy with the service you have received, please give us a call (302) 569-5161 within 24 hours of your cleaning and we will return to re-clean the area at no additional cost.



Before your first service, we do require a debit/credit card on file. 

We accept personal checks, paypal, debit and credit cards. Payment for cleaning services is due in full on the day of service unless other arrangements have been made. If paying by check, please make it payable to Patty’s House Cleaning & Maid Service and leave it on the kitchen counter for our cleaners to collect after the service. Tips are optional and very much appreciated! They may be given directly to your cleaners or added to your check.


Appointment Time

You will receive an email reminder the day before your scheduled cleaning service. This will confirm the date, time of arrival and the address of the property. While we give an exact time, please allow a 30 minute window in case of traffic, road accidents and other unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control.


What to expect

Our cleaners work in teams of 2 or 3. Depending on schedules and holidays/sickness/resignations, we can’t always guarantee you will have the same cleaners but we will try our very best to send the same team out to you as they will get to know you and your cleaning service requirements in your home. If you would like us to focus on anything in particular, please let us know beforehand.


Cancellation Policy

Cleaning services are scheduled in advance and to move an appointment around, we require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. If cancellation occurs prior to two days’ notice a fee of $50 will be charged to your debit/credit card.  The reason for this is that with a fully booked schedule, we aren’t able to book anyone else in, so if we have a last-minute cancellation, our cleaners make less money that day and we may lose out on new business. You can cancel via email



We do not climb higher than a 2 step ladder. We use extension poles for higher items that need dusting & cobwebbing

We cannot move furniture over 15lbs but will try to reach a visible place with an extension duster

We do not clean up blood, bodily fluids, pest infestations or human/pet waste



There are a few options to choose from to allow our cleaners entry into your home or office. 

  1. You are present during the cleaning service. We give an estimated time of arrival via email the day before. If no one is home when the cleaners arrive with no access code or hide-a-key, a cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. 
  2. You provide us with a key which will be kept securely in a lock box only to be used at time of scheduled cleaning service. 
  3. You provide us with the door entry code to enter the premises. 
  4. Animals must be contained.


Employee Solicitation

When entering an agreement with Patty’s House Cleaning & Maid Service, you agree not to solicit for hire any staff member introduced to you by us for any home related services.
